Penrite Oil has marked a defining moment in its 100th year, with Matt Payne and Garth Tander steering the #100 Penrite Mustang to victory at the 2025 Repco Bathurst 1000. The win is Payne’s first Bathurst triumph and Penrite’s first since 2017, reinforcing the brand’s legacy in Australian motorsport.
Delivering a high-performance drive from 18th on the grid, Payne and Tander executed a disciplined race strategy, supported by rapid pit stops and cohesive team operations. After 161 laps of demanding racing, Payne held firm under pressure to secure the result, later confirmed following a penalty issued to James Golding.
Penrite Racing’s strong form extended across the garage, with Kai Allen and Dale Wood finishing eighth and Allen securing qualification for the Supercars Championship Finals. The Bathurst weekend also marked the launch of Penrite’s centenary celebrations, highlighted by the reveal of a new 100-year livery showcasing the company’s Australian heritage and commitment to innovation and performance since 1926.
Toby Dymond, CEO of Penrite Oil, said the Bathurst win was a fitting start to the milestone year, demonstrating the teamwork, resilience, and pride that underpin the brand’s success. As Penrite enters its centenary, this victory cements another significant chapter in its journey and positions Penrite Racing with strong momentum for the remainder of the Supercars Championship.
