MEWETT MOTORSPORT

Darren and Luke Mewett make up Mewett Motorsport, a family operated Sprintcar team located in Perth, Western Australia. Motorsports has always been in the family’s blood.

Father of the family Darren Mewett started racing stock cars at the age of 16 at Ellenbrook Speedway. Over the years he has raced stock cars, 320, 360 and 410 Open Sprintcars. He has won a state title, several Pithara champions, to name only a few.

At the age of 3, Luke Mewett started helping his father with his 360 Sprintcar #55. Last year was Luke’s debut year, racing in 320 Sprintcars and the V8 non-wing division in WA. The Maxim chassis was a track Champion car at Kwinana Motorplex and Bunbury Speedway.

In 2023, Luke will be racing the Mewett Motorsport 360 Sprintcar and the 320 Sprintcar. Darren will be racing the open/410 Sprintcar in the Australia Title at Kwinana Motorplex.
