Hi,

I have a 2016 BMW F85 X5M with the S63 4.4L twin turbo engine (423Kw/750Nm). It seems BMW specifies 9.5L of SAE 0W-40 BMW Longlife-01 or ACEA A3/B4 engine oil. The vehicle came with a 1L bottle of this exact oil - see attached pictures. Your website recommends HPR 0 0W-30 (Full Synthetic). Is this correct or an error?

You also have 10Tenths Premium 0 Full Synthetic 0W-40 which exactly aligns with BMW recommendations. Should this be the recommended engine oil for the S63 engine?

Hi Chris,

For a 2016 BMW X5 4.4L F85 the information provided to us shows the manufacturer requesting the use of a BMW LL 01-FE specification oil in a 0W-30 viscosity. With this we recommend the use of our HPR 0 0W-30 https://penriteoil.com.au/products/hpr-0-0w-30-full-synthetic

What specification does your owners manual provide?

Kind regards,

Tate

Hi Tate,

Looks like 0W-30 is suitable option.

Cheers,

Chris.
