Hi, I bought a bottle of EGR&cat clean to use in my wife's 2006 V6 Camry with suspected cat problems, possibly a mild blockage,  I am going to add it to the fuel tank I am wondering how much fuel I should have in the tank when I add this to get the maximum benifit, Should I add to a full tank, half or quarter?

Thank you for your time.

Regards

Corey

Hi Corey

Info on the PRO SERIES EGR & CAT CLEAN + from the website ( https://www.penriteoil.com.au/products/pro-series-egr-cat-clean ):

NORMAL FUEL ADDITIVE USE

  • For routine and preventative maintenance, add EGR & CAT CLEAN+ (ECC+) directly to fuel tank. Run the engine to clean the internals of the fuel pump, the fuel injectors or carburettor, the spark plugs where fitted, and the top piston rings. It will also remove any condensed water from these parts of the system. Due to the low flammability of ECC+, do not add to fuel tank when lower than one quarter full and do not add directly into fuel filter.
  • The can is a one dose system. Empty entire can into approximately a quarter of a tank of fuel to enable it to remain concentrated as it goes through the cycle. Normally one treatment is sufficient to clean the system

So 1 can in a 1/4 of a tank of fuel.

Cheers

Costa
