I have a 2011 Mazda CX-7 2.3l turbo 6speed auto. The recommended ATF for this car is JWS 3309. Will Penrite ATF FS Automatic Transmission Fluid suit and perform better and/or safe compared to using the Mazda OEM product?

Hi Reza
You are correct for the auto trans of the MAZDA CX-7 2011 PETROL 2.3 Turbo 4 Door SUV AUTO/ (AWD) 175kw L3VDT Direct Inj ER we do recommend ATF FS (Full Syn.) which does quote JWS 3309. It is interchangeable with the product made for Mazda and locally manufactured.

Penrite
Thanks Costa.
Another question, if I were to replace the current OEM transmission oil with Penrite and given that I don’t have specialist equipment that drains everything including the torque converter and refills, what is the best method for doing so at home?
And is having a mixture oils safe?
thank you
Hi Reza
One way to remove a larger portion of the old fluid would be to do a number of fluid changes with short drives in between that go through all the gears. This way you have diluted the old fluid that could not be removed with the previous drain with new fluid. If you do this 3 or 4 times you should have removed over 90% of the old fluid.
Remember to follow all necessary procedure/steps for each fluid change.
