Hi just wanting to check if the atf FS is safe to use in the ford falcon btr 4 speed auto as I have been met by controversy by a fellow mechanic that this oil is not safe ,but I have been using it without any problems so far.just wanting to get your take on this .thanks Leigh

Hi Leigh

We do state that ATF DX-III is recommended for use in BTR 4 speed automatic transmissions used by Ford but as ATF FS quotes many of the same specs we also find it acceptable in this application.

Especially if the box has been rebuilt and had seals made from modern materials that are not affected by synthetic fluids.
