Hi there. I have used your oil selector for our 2005 Ssangyong Musso 2.9L Diesel manual 4WD. The gear oil that it is recommending is your premium mineral gear oil 80w90. Our musso has a limited slip differential. The oil selector does not show a different oil for the front and rear diffs. Can you please confirm that it is ok to use the 80w90 in both front standard diff and the rear LSD. I noticed that castrol list a different oil if vehicle is fitted with a LSD which is why I want to make sure my diff is not damaged by using the oil your selector recommends.

Hi Hamish,

For a 2005 Ssangyong Musso 2.9L diesel 4wd the information provided to us for both front and rear differentials shows the manufacturer requesting the use of an API GL-5 80W-90. With this we see no issue with the use of our Gear Oil 80W-90 https://www.penriteoil.com.au/products/gear-oil-80w-90-mineral

Our Gear Oil 80W-90 can be used in limited slip differentials as it contains the correct dosage of our Limslip additive.

Kind Regards,

Tate
