I am wondering what is the difference between the Penrite Pro Gear 75W90 and the PENRITE PRO GEAR GL4 75W90 in regards to using it in my transfer case. Does the GL4 offer substantial enough improvement over the regular to consider it worth it

Hi Nick,
The difference between a API GL-4 and an API GL-5 is the extreme pressure additive content, an API GL-4 has about ½ of the level of the sulfur/phosphorous additive that would be in the API GL-5 product.
I will attach a link to our knowledge centre that further discusses the differences between an API GL-4 and an API GL-5 https://www.penriteoil.com.au/knowledge-centre/Gear-Oil-Industry-Specifications/83/What-is-the-difference-between-API-GL-4-and-API-GL-5-Gear-Oils/1036#/.
Does your owner’s manual give you any specifications as to what you need to use?
Out of interest what car is this for Nick?
Please get in contact with any further questions.
Kind Regards,
Tate
