I have a MY13 Jeep Grand Cherokee built Sept 2012 (3.0 ltr VM Motori Diesel) that was factory fitted with OAT coolant, as were all diesel MY13, as opposed to the MY11-12 which had HOAT. Your container says Jeep on the label but you web page says No. Is there different types of OAT? and is your OAT suitable for small top ups

Hi Bob

Our info is that the, say, JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE 2013 DIESEL 3.0 Turbo 4 Door SUV AUTO/ (AWD) 177kw EXF CRD WK LAREDO; BLACKHAWK (2012 to 2013) requires a fluid meeting Chrysler MS-9769 (OAT) making Green OEM Coolant (HOAT) suitable. Later models require a coolant meeting CHRYSLER MS-12106 (OAT) for which we do not offer a product. The owners manual or fluid fill area may offer more information. For small top ups use the Universal Top Up - http://www.penriteoil.com.au/products/universal-top-up-coolant-premix .

Cheers

Hi Costa

so you are suggesting I mix OAT with HOAT which my MY13 owners handbook says never do that, see attached images.

The coolant colour is orange in my vehicle and is an OAT, your universal top up looks the go

The MY11-13 has the W5A580 (nag1, 722.6) 5 speed gearbox not ZF 5 speed, just as a side note

Bob

i will post images next post

Hi Bob

As is indicated in your owners manual/post your vehicle requires a particular type of OAT coolant of which we do not have an equivalent.

The best I can suggest is to consider the UNIVERSAL TOP UP COOLANT PREMIX which can be used to top up both Organic Acid Technology (OAT) & Hybrid Type A anti-freeze/anti boil coolants.

Cheers

Costa
