Hi, my 2020 KTM 500 EXC-F took a gulp-full of water through the airbox during a river crossing and hydro locked over the weekend. It took about 15 minutes to get the spark plug out and crank the excess water from the cylinder. Being a long way from civilisation, it ran for a full day thereafter with no issue, so plenty of heat and run time. Now I am back, i plan to run your engine flush through and then change the oil (with recommended mc 4st 10w-50)  - would you have any recommendations for additional or alternative treatments for removing any residual moisture from the engine? Thanks John

Hi John

We don't have any products to remove moisture from the engine. An oil and filter change is a good start. There will be a certain amount of evaporation happening from the engine heat. As long as there is only a small amount of moisture it should not pose any additional problems but just keep an eye on the oil colour after the flush and oil change to check for emulsification. If there is, it may be prudent to repeat the oil change.
